Naale High School, situated in Kenya's Rift Valley region, is a small boarding school that is home to many children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school has a strong Christian presence, with approximately half the students and teachers being Christian. Despite the school's Christian focus, the school has made efforts to integrate and accommodate a wide range of pupils and attitudes. This has included the establishment of the School Management Association (SMA), which brings together school management staff, parents and other staff to ensure that the needs of pupils are met.
One of the highlights
of attending naale high school is that there is so much diversity - this is
especially apparent in the student body. There is a large proportion of pupils
who come from ethnic minority groups, giving the school its multiethnic
identity. In addition, there are a significant number of pupils from
economically disadvantaged families - these children are exceptionally bright,
with a strong academic achievements and good behaviour.
Naale High School is
very organised. The school has an assembly hall and a school administration
office. Pupils can register for classes online via the school website. The
school offers a choice of single and multi-pupil programmes, and students are
strongly encouraged to explore their talents and potentials through a
curriculum that is structured and comprehensively taught.
During the school year,
there are a number of clubs and activities that the pupils can join to make
their experience more meaningful. These include the Junior Classical Company,
which help the younger pupils to enhance their musical and artistic abilities,
the School Sports Club which provide a competitive forum for the more
experienced players, and the Gay and Lesbian Association. There are also the
School Drama Club, which present theatre productions, and a Chess Club that
meet during the summer. These clubs also organise a small annual dance
competition, which is won by the most talented student.
Naale High School has a
very prestigious reputation in the district - this was evidenced by the
inclusion of two representatives on the Kenya Sports Awards jury. The school
has also won a number of awards, including the best Private School in East
Africa, and received silver at the 2021 South African College of Beauty and
Design Oscars. Students who want to pursue careers as actors or model or
otherwise engage with theatre are strongly advised to consider this highly
competitive but wonderful school. The school is committed to equality and
diversity, and all pupils are free to pursue any academic path that they
choose. For more information on enrolment and to enquire about course
descriptions and timetable, please visit the school website.
